Word from the [new] Chair
Welcome to SipCon year N… The previous president, Chair, has broken down from how much you sat in it for the past time. So, I’m the new Sofa King. My name is Esperanza P2, and I’m here to help you get back where we started in 2020. Times have been hard. For all of us. We know, you spent alot of time in the same few places, repeating day in day out, and thats okay. Me and the other members of the house have heard you, day after day as your life has gone sideways in more ways than you wanted without any control of the outside world. You miss friends and family and the satisfaction of being you being out there and enjoying life to the fullest. But the world decided to “end the pandemic” and has created a dangerous space outside of your home. I didn’t think we needed a second conbook for this Distance Convention… and yet, here we are.
Again.
We can Do It, we can take the day and move on!

Shelter In Place is an event organized and hosted by you, has been since March 16, 2020… least, we should be
The goal of Shelter in Place is to help pass the time for our attendees by being creative and giving joy. While we are all acting like adults, we can still have fun like kids but with more expensive toys. Though, still take any and all precautions with your activities you do at home.
Costumes, Clothing, Behavior, & Saftey
Costumes of all designs and materials are welcome, so please have fun dressing up for yourself! You are in your own space, dress or not dress to your likings! Share pics if you like!

Harrassment & A Salt
Respect the boundaries of those you live with, especially your own limits. No means no. Open communication is important to having a peaceful & balanced living environment. Also, do you have enough salt?
Buying & Selling
Shelter in Place allows multiple ways to purchase merchandise and or services. Online orders is the main avenue for seeing and/or aquarinng about said products. You could call, but who answers their phone these days? Tip well when ordering food, and maybe consider learning some new tasty recipes to cook!

Parties, Alcohol & Drug Tolerance
Shelter in Place is hosted at your home, with any housemates, you decide on drinks and what drugs you do. (But please no drugs near the pilot) Parties that involve those not from your household are not recommended, since the sickness is airborne. But if you must, party outside, with more than 6ft between different households, and BYOB to avoid physical contact. AND PICK UP YOUR TRASH IF YOU ARE GOING TO A BEACH OR

No pictures of Protestors! But please do share any pics of your fursuits/kigus/partials/badges/etc you wear and Works In Progress on projects!
Membership & Attendance
You need to shelter in place, aka your home, to attend Shelter In Place con. Don’t lock yourself out, and quarantine yourself for the needed amount of days when you travel elsewhere. Attending is ongoing and free, besides paying for food delivered or cooked, entertainment in form of projects or education material, rent, bills, medical, phone, car… you get the picture. We have surpassed the number of days in this pandemic compared to The Year of Hell episode from Star Trek Voyager, day count wise.

Termination and Revocation
In the rare case that a membership needs to be revoked during the event, well, we’ll do what we can to help you find a new place to continue observing Shelter in Place. But You will be removed from all of our Discord Server. We cannot fully remove membership till everyone wears their mask correctly…
If you need Assistance…
During operating hours, Shelter in Place’s Convention Operations center will help you find a start for the assistance you seek. Remember, we are not experts, we are all volunteers and participants. Help yourself, and help others when you can. Don’t forget, we are all in this together.
