Trades/collaborations

Requests: limited

Paid Commissions are first, but I will attempt to fulfill requests as I can when I open them on my social media.

IV. WHAT YOU RECEIVE (or DELIVERABLES)

As the commissioner, you will receive:

• A high-resolution digital file of your completed artwork (JPG, PNG, or other requested format).
• A watermarked version for public sharing (if requested).
• A print (if you’ve requested printing services).
• Optional minor edits after completion (small color/marking corrections).

What is NOT included unless discussed:

• Physical prints (unless arranged separately with additional costs).V. PAYMENT
• Source files (PSD, Clip Studio, etc.)

Major revisions after final approval (these require an additional fee). If more than 3 major changes occur, I will restart the commission and charge full price for a new piece.

V. Payment

I accept payments through PayPal and Square. Once we agree on the commission details, I will send you an invoice to secure payment and confirm your spot in my queue.

Payment plans may be discussed on a case-by-case basis, but this must be arranged at the start—not at the end of the commission process.

Deposits & Payment Structure

• Commissions under $50 (Non-Animated):
  • Full payment is due upon completion, before the final files/images are sent.
• Commissions over $50 (Non-Animated):
  • A 13% deposit is required before work begins. This counts toward the final payment.
• Animated Commissions:
  • A 26% deposit is required upfront.
  • The remaining balance is due upon completion.
• Commissions over $500:
  • A formal contract will be drafted and signed by both parties for tax and legal documentation purposes.

VI. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

• I, the artist, reserve the right to cancel and issue a refund for any commission at any time.
• If I must cancel the commission for any reason on my end, I will issue a fair refund based on the work completed.
• Once payment has been received, the commissioner may not cancel or demand a refund under any circumstances.
• If payment has not been sent yet, the commissioner may cancel freely.
• Deposits are non-refundable if the commission is canceled—whether by the commissioner or due to a violation of my terms.

Chargebacks & Disputes

Filing a chargeback against me will result in the immediate revocation of all rights to any artwork I have ever created for you. This means:

• I retain full copyright over all commissioned works.
• I have the right to resell or repurpose the artwork as I see fit.
• You will be permanently blacklisted from commissioning me, Nix, owner of NixKnax, ever again.
• Your name may be publicly shared as a warning to other artists.
• I reserve the right to file a complaint and take action to reclaim the money owed.

By commissioning me, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that refunds and cancellations are not permitted after payment has been made.

Shipping Costs

If your commission involves a physical print, shipping costs will be calculated separately using USPS online tools and added to the final cost.

Payment Plans

If you need a payment plan, we can discuss it upfront—not after the project has been completed.

VII. COPYRIGHT & USAGE POLICY

I, the artist, retain full copyright over all artwork I create. The commissioner does not own the copyright unless explicitly agreed upon through a commercial rights purchase.

Artist’s Rights

As the creator, I hold the right to:

• Use the artwork for self-promotion on any platform (social media, portfolio, website, etc.).
• Display the artwork anywhere I choose.
• Publish the artwork in books or other materials.

Commissioner’s Rights

The commissioner is allowed to:

• Use the artwork for personal use only, unless otherwise agreed.
• Print the artwork for personal display.
• Claim ownership of their character(s) featured in the artwork, but not the artwork itself.
• Use the artwork for self-promotion, with proper credit to me, the artist.

Copyright Infringement

If you violate my copyright, all rights to use the artwork will be revoked. Copyright infringement includes:

• Using the artwork commercially (selling prints, merchandise, monetized content, etc.) without purchasing commercial rights.
• Claiming the artwork as your own creation.
• Removing or altering my watermark/signature.
• Modifying the artwork without my consent.

Blockchain & NFT Policy

• My artwork may NOT be used in any blockchain-related technology, including NFTs, cryptocurrency, or any future inventions in that space.

Commercial Rights

If you wish to use my artwork commercially, you must purchase the rights at 300% of the original price. With commercial rights, you may:

• Create merchandise (prints, apparel, etc.).
• Use it for books, covers, branding, and promotional material.
• Modify the artwork as needed.

However, credit is still required even if the artwork is altered.

Private Commissions

If you wish for your commission to remain private (not posted anywhere by me), a 50% privacy fee will be added to the total cost.
